What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am members of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians and International Brotherhood of Magicians. I attend conventions and lectures every year to keep my education moving along in family entertainment. I have been interested in magic since before school age. Not sure what inspired me at that tender age however I knew I wanted to learn.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Always interested, a hobby just became a business.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I do a lot of strolling type magic at social events which is the best kind of magic because it is one on one and happening in the spectators own hands, I also work with families that what entertainment for weddings, birthdays, reunions, and even retirement parties.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I was doing a strolling show at the Country Club of Indianapolis and got to meet and perform for some very interesting people from all over the country. I was hired for two hours, and after the show, I checked with the person who hired me to see if there was anything else he needed. He said we were good and gave me a huge tip in addition to the fee. I shook his hand and said thank you.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I would say hire the person you feel most comfortable with. They should be respectful of you and your time. I would look for someone who makes the helper on stage the star of the show. There's never a reason to make someone look bad while the performer is standing up there taking all the credit. I say give the credit away; let someone else be the star.

Do you carry liability insurance? Are you comfortable with guests taking pictures during your performance? Are you able to customize your performance to fit the theme of our event? If so, would you be willing to incorporate our theme into your messaging during and after the performance? What sets you apart from other magicians? What do you enjoy most about performing magic?
